You'd expect the Blob Fish not to be endangered since it has no natural predators, but it is. Why? Because of deep ocean trawling. This is basically going over the ocean floor with a net in order to get a certain fish. Blob fish sit slightly above the ocean floor, the exact place where most deep ocean trawling is targeted. The blob fish has an obvious lack of muscle, meaning it cannot run away from the net or hide. Human interaction with the Blob Fish is negative in all aspects since we are the reason for their possible extinction. No efforts have been made to save the Blob Fish so far.
